Wrong name for Dalmorton wind farm

Dalmorton Wind farm has nothing to do with Dalmorton Farm itself. The windfarm is partly located on Knockskae Hill, Back Fell and Knockgardner. Will they rename it? Watch this space.

  1. Maybe they didn’t want to draw to much attention to the fact that the The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland has got no less than 6 registrations against the Black Hill of Knockgardner…

    • Interesting point Joanna, they registered the area when they bought it as “Upper Dalmorton” although I think it was some time before wind farms were on the scene. I believe the company which have the land is called William Notcutt Estates Ltd but need to verify this.
